Question about the Victorinox Soldier?

My theory... The folks at Victorinox make a few one hand opening models, but don't care too much about closing a knife with one hand.

I send them a message about that ,this theory is funny but I think that the swiss too proud of their work to do such a mistake

Maybe because it was easier to make the liner lock that way than reversing the position of the tools and blade ? I'm not sure...
Anyway, the liner lock is just an extra safety feature, with a back spring keeping the blade open.

So Victorinox answered me with this:
"The locking system is “backwards” because it allows you to lock both main blade and cap lifter."

Regardless of the reason, I think it's one pretty cool knife. It's the model I decided to give my girlfriend's kid for christmas since he just started scouting. It's got enough bells and whistles to keep him busy for a long time and I love how the serrated portion of the blade is in the correct spot. Nice design, comfortable and a good price too. It'll also make him use two hands to close the blade which might make him more careful/use fewer bandaids.
