Don't know, you ever done that kind of thing before??

You can see from the pic of it, the scales seem to be pinned on, maybe epoxied too?? I really don't know the specifics of knife construction.

It's a nicely sized and shaped knife, that rides well in pocket.

never done it before, but it seems simple, id be able to do it on my schrade stockman

Definitely not D2 on the barlow - it is "Queen Steel", which may be either 420SS or 440A.

D2 is only used on the models in the catalog where it is specifically noted - the carved stag bone, cocobolo, smooth and jigged black cherry, and winterbottom.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Queen Steel was their code name for 440c. Old timers had a little trouble adjusting to stainlesses because many of the old ones had too much chrome. So Queen just made up a special name.

Aaron, try your rescaling technique on a few old worn junker knives. It is harder than it looks.

Ben Kelly, a pocketknife repairer for Case wrote "The Complete Book of PocketKnife Repair". It should help you.
