Question about Umnumzaan blade

Considering the purchase of the Umnumzaan. The blade shape is particularly interesting. I was hoping for help from current owners about the top edge. In pics I've seen the first section of the tip (swedge area) appears to be sharpened. Is this an illusion or is this knife double-edged on the tip? I have yet to see one first hand, only Sebenza's, so your help in this is appreciated. Thanks in advance

It's beveled, but not sharpened.
It's sharp enough to effectively scrape something with, but not enough to cut.

^ what he said.

Yep Yep To Both. I love the swedge. I sell alot on ebay and many times, I have to mail somthing odd shaped and have to score the cardboard slightly to help it fold over better. The swedge on the umnumzaan works like a gem for this. This is just another reason it is my crk edc. I like my xm's I recently got and some others, but nothing works as good for me on a daily basis than my umnumzaan..........Its not perfect though, I still wish it had the lock-up like a sebenza, but its something that I and others have to live with !!!

The ultimate folder would be the umnumzaan with the sebenza lock-up. I am just not 100% confident in the ceramic ball/detent lock thing. While, I am 110% confident in the traditional framelocks like the sebenza, xm's and yes, even strider.

You and I differ, I would love to see a Sebenza with the CBL. :D

Apart from that, the Umnumzaan is my go-to knife for 90% of the time.
