Question about values?

I was wondering and I know this might be a crazy question because alot has to
do with the market supply and demand and condition etc, but is there a
"ballpark dollar figure" of their worth that seems to be consistent with the 110 series of
knives with respect to years/dates?

thanks,
Sean

I wouldn't think so, but I'm not an expert. In dealing with old knives, books, antiques, cars, airplanes, anything... condition is everything. Then scarcity is equally important. How many of a specific model were made? Then value of materials and manufacturing techniques (how much is done by skilled craftsmen, how much is mechanized). Sambar stag is now very expensive due to an embargo on Indian exports of this material. If some day the embargo is lifted, the price may drop, but don't count on it.

Someone else here may better answer your question, though.

I agree w/ Wolf . Also, I've noticed by attending shows and talking w/ others here who do the same . There is a great variance in knife prices for the same knife offered say at a Phoenix show vs. at El Paso, TX or at Atlanta . It just all over the map and not even close to one another . Then ask Armand in San Diego and he'll tell you some very different prices . DM

So many variables......and then you have to deal with sellers who like their knife......don't REALLY want to part with the knife, but will sell it if they can get a ridiculously high price for it.

Reading here, studying what they go for on e-Bay, checking asking prices on the knives for sale here, going to shows and checking prices.......those are the ways to learn.
