Question about Wenger can opener

I never use can openers, but I was just looking at the difference between the Vic and the Wenger openers. Looks like the Wenger might work well for "draw" cuts, or ripping, by pulling it towards yourself, where the Vic is useless for this type of cutting. I'm not talking about using it on cans here of course, but maybe on bubble packaging or cutting cardboard, etc.

Can anyone confirm or deny this? Thanks! ;)

It doesn't make a very clean cut on soft things like bubble wrap and paper because it's really not that sharp. It works ok though for scoring fiber board and harder plastic which you would then bend and snap.

IMO it doesn't work as well on cans as the Vic does, just incase you're wondering.

The Wenger can opener is an inferior product , the Vic. iteration is iconic . It's all I ever use in the kitchen .

I used the wenger can opener at my shop to open boxes. It will do in a pinch but can get stuck real quick if u rip into the cardboard
