Question about ZT blade replacements (ZT 0452CF)

I know they say they cant send just blades for some reason and my current blade is just fine, but I love it so much that I don't want to worry about losing it in the future and having ZT discontinue the knife by then and being unable to get a replacement then. I would happily pay the $40 for the new blade but is there any way to get it if they wont ship just a blade? my biggest thought might be to maybe send them an email about it and send them the handle without a blade so they can just slap a new one in it but I'm not sure. any opinions. I just want this knife to have a failsafe in case of being discontinued and to last hopefully longer than me.

Two of the above 0640's were used knives, purchased from the BladeForums Knife Exchange.
I regularly see 0452CF's for sale there, often at very reasonable prices.

I get where you are at, being in love with the ZT 0452CF, but there are an almost infinite number of knives out there that you will love just as much and maybe more. Don't get me wrong, the 0452CF is a great if not iconic knife, but there are lots of others. Also, there are a lot of 0452CF knives out there. They show up in the Knife Exchange regularly, in fact there is one there now.
