Question about ZT0562CF

Hi guys. I have a question about my ZT0562CF detent hole. When I took my knife apart it looked like the detent hole drilled out twice. Meaning there is a small hole and a bigger hole. I was just wondering if any other ZT 0562CF owners can tell me if it's like that for all of them. Thank you.

Some others have noticed something similar in other models as well. I believe this has to do with tuning the detent. If it holds the blade securely closed and provides a nice snappy detent for good flipping action, then there is no problem. The demand for the 0562CF's seems to have greatly outpaced the supply, so you're pretty fortunate to have gotten one. Hope you put it to good use. :)

Not sure that mine has this. What is your serial #? Mines #986
Do you have a pic of said detent holes? My detent is just a hole that goes all the way through the blade.

My serial number is 0883. And I didn't take a picture when I took it apart. I can see it when I open the knife a little through the space between the lock bar and the pivot.

Definately sounds different than mine.
How does the detent look? Is it a hole all the way through the blade, or is it an indent?

I don't know if you can see this.

So the smaller hole is deeper than the larger hole and the smaller hole is inside of the bigger hole. I don't know if that makes sense.

Makes sense to me, so the hole dosent go all the way through?

The smaller hole goes all the way but big hole is like 1/4 way. I just thought it was a little strange and was just wondering if anyone else like that. I'm about to check my zt0620cf and zt0560bw to see if they are the same. And can you see the picture I posted? That was my first time posting a picture...

It seems the two different sized holes is not uncommon with ZT, there's another thread about the 0801S110V with the same conversation going on. There are a couple of pics posted there.

It's totally normal. I have serial # 1111, and it is the same way. The hole does go all the way through. Don't sweat it.

Thanks for that info took a look at it and it was exactly what I was talking about. Thanks!

I'm not. I just noticed it and was curious. Still love the knife. It's been my edc since I got it. All my other knives are in their boxes due to this knife. I should start selling them, but gotta get paid membership so I'm still holding off.

They are a fantastic production knife. IMO, they are better than their "namesake". Better steel, better flipper, better handle material, half the cost. :)

I have a Spanto, I won't bother with a Slicer grind. I'm perfectly happy with the ZT562CF. :)

This coming from a guy who has owned about 6 Spantos, and at least 3 slicers in the past.

ZT nailed this one.

I dont think it really affects anything. Congrats anyhow on the 0562! I really liked the one I played with last year at bladeshow.

yea it really doesn't. only thing i noticed was the fact that it has play when blade is closed. very minimal tho. you can still hear it rattle a little.
