New here, don't know what took me so long to join up... ;-)
Knife collector from way back, looking forward to spending some time here, sharing pics of cool knives I have, buying, selling, trading?
I picked up this Buck knife a while back, not exactly my cup of tea, but I was drawn to it... and interesting knives are very few and far between. I tried to figure out what it is, called Buck, they said to send pics and talk to Joe Hauser, the company historian but it seems that the guy is very busy and never had time to get back to me with any info.
It is a Buck fighting knife/dagger, blade is chromed, possibly just for display? The blades are dull, as in totally unground, like many issue bayonets.
Beautiful burled wood handles.
7" blade, 11" overall.
The design of the blade is very symmetrical and beautiful, looks identical to the dagger blade design in a very old pic of Al Buck on the website.
Here are a few pics;
If someone would PM or email me with this info, I'd be much obliged.
Thx in advance!!! ;-)
