Question - China Remora and Warranty?

Does the standard warranty cover the Chinese Remora? I ask this, as I have both the Chinese and USA made BK13s and the Chinese one will NOT take an edge... at all... I mean, I'm no master at sharpening knives, but the chinese remora has been a royal thorn in my side. I've tried the Lansky diamond system, the Sharpmaker, and the WorkSharp to no avail. Just to prove it wasn't me, I made my Fiskars X7 hatchet hair popping sharp in a matter of a minute...

So there's something wrong withe chinese model(the USA model is great). Does Ka-Bar cover the Chinese remora?
 
I would assume it would fall under they standard "defective material or craftsmanship" warranty but for not taking a edge they could say you dont know how to put in an edge ...i bet it would be a coin flip of who you talked to there if they would warranty it or not.
