Question/concern about lock-up on 0560

Hello everyone,

I just got a new 0560 and am absolutely in love with this knife. However, look at the lock-up in the pic below. All of the pics I've seen show the lock bar landing about 50% into the blade tang, but mine looks like somewhere between 30-33%. So, here are my questions:

1) Is this something to be concerned about, and if so, what can I do about it ? I've already penciled the tang, so it's action is already smooth & doesn't stick.

2) Will the lockbar drift over towards the other side with normal use, and am I just worrying over nothing? This is my first framelock, so please pardon the newbness of my questions.

You shouldn't be worried, that is a nice early lockup. It will likely drift to the left with use, but as long as it locks tight it's not a problem.

Mine is around 35 -40%, looks all normal to me:thumbup:! Now go cut something and enjoy your your awesome knife!

That looks fine to me. I like to have at least 20% lockup.

mine is 50% or more....your early lock up looks ideal to me...no worries

I never thought I'd like a production folder as much as the 0200, but the 0560 is one fine piece of work.
