Question concerning appropriate membership

I have a small collection of custom and production knives that hasn't changed in several years. My tastes are not the same as when this collection was originally started and I would like to offer for sale a few of these knives by listing them in the appropriate Bladeforums "For Sale by Individual" section. I also make a few knives and on occasion, would like to offer a few of my better efforts in the "For Sale by Maker" section. Will I need to purchase a Gold Membership, plus a Knifemaker Membership or could I sell in both sections with a Platinum Membership?

Thank you in advance for your help and I appreciate your efforts in making BF informative, educational and entertaining.

KnifeMaker's allows you to sell in both areas, so if you are selling your own work, that'd be the right choice for you. It'd also give you access to the Around the Grinder section in the KnifeMaker's forum

Either a Knifemaker or Platinum membership will work for you. Platinum gives you some extra perks but costs a little more.

Just wondering if this is something that has changed. I know in the past a few makers purchased Platinum memberships so they could sell in the regular for sale forums, because they were resticted to selling in the Knifemaker for sale forums.

In a similar vein, if I upgraded from Gold to Knifemaker status, what happens to the remainder of my Gold subscription which is paid until October? Do I lose what I have paid, or can it be credited to the increased fee for Knifemaker?

You'll need to contact us to have it credited or (more likely) pro-rated as a longer KnifeMakers

Don't email 1SKS. You'll need to call us so we can verify it's you over the phone.

Oh OK. As I am British and now resident in Canada, I couldn't use the automated system, so I used the shop ordering system to order and then renew my Gold status. I will telephone.
