There are no FFBM/FFFBM LE's. These were originally sold through the Company Store exclusively, not a model you could order in your combo of choice through Busse. I'm guessing that yours may have been done for a show like Knob Creek, or sent in to Busse for a requested modification, or done by the previous owner/another knifemaker.Ask the previous owner (if there is a previous owner).
Doesn't look like a Busse shop swedge to me but still looks pretty well done.
Curious... did the previous owner say that the bevel was original to the blade?
Or did he do it / have it done?
.
Looks like the FBM le bevel. Compared to the false edge swedge that was on some of the 2008 SE's. It looks like a factory done bevel on a stripped cg![]()

Well as far as I know it came from Busse with the Swedge, but I don't know what the blade color was so I guess that will remain a mystery.![]()
How do you "Know" it came from Busse that way?
I dont think the swedge is factory because the red/black ffbms didnt have a swedge.
If it has red/black handles then the blade was black. If you dont beleive me, take of the handles and see for yourself.![]()
Got in touch with the last owner.
It was stripped when he got it though.
So that doesnt confirm anything except that it was that way when he(Dan) got it, right?
Either way, factory or not, it was done well, and well, it is a fine blade.![]()
