Hi Alan.... some time ago I asked about makers in NC that could teach me the craft, and you offered to help me out... Is that offer still good? At the time I was going in for a hip replacement. Im still dealing with the bum joint, but I'd really like to take you up on it if its still good.....

Chris, I don't know how often Alan reads this forum...Check over on the Usual Suspect forum, he may be there more often...

Where are you in NC? I'm just west of Asheville and there are several really good makers in this area that have helped me a bunch.

I was born and raised in Asheville...but Im actually in Eastern NC now. As a matter of fact I live about 30 minutes from Alan.
