I was just wondering what you law enforcement officers carry. So what do you carry on duty, and off duty(if you switch it up) and why? I'm also currious about people in military service, what do you guys(and gals) carry?

Stay safe :)

I sold a CRKT M1614 to a LEO at my school back in 2000.

any one of ... Manix 2, CTS-XHP Mili, Lum Tanto, BM 760, BM 710, Izula in pocket on any given day

Always a SAK in the pocket under the gun

Busse DSSF in the SHTF bag

I was cleared to put my ESEE 5 on my duty belt. It just stopped being my off duty carry, a couple days ago, as I've gone back to concealing fixed blades and never made a good concealment rig for it. Now, I'm carrying my Nimravus off duty.

When I was deployed in addition to my leatherman I carried either a Buck Strider Tarani daily or Spyderco Endura. Just went to school for 68W MOS earlier this summer and I brought my mini AK-47, and a Buck Vantage Force pro and rotated between them.

Retired but still EDC both blades and gun.

When working I carried SO many different blades and styles that the list would be hurting me to pen.

A few OTF auto's and a few balisongs as well as MANY different lock blades and OHO's too.

When I'm working it's a Microtech Ultratech D/E from Vero Beach in my pocket and a medium Busse of one model or another on my tactical vest.

At home and around town I carry one of many custom slipjoints; usually a stockman or trapper pattern. Too many to list here!:)

Not an LEO, but a few of my family members are. One carries a vintage Remington slip-joint and a Scottish Dirk (Custom made by a friend of the family in Scotland). The other carries an older Benchmade.

I currently carry an Eskabar or an Izula on and off duty; however, thanks to Rick Hargis, I have a very nice EDC II that I started carrying today. I always have an under 4" fixed blade and a SAK Trekker for EDC. I use a 4.5" drop point and a modified Condor Golok on woodland ops. Stay safe.

I carry a Byrd Wings for the rescue blade. I like the fact that it has a plain edge too should I need one, but I find myself using the rescue blade much more in the line of duty, usually to cut seatbelts or crime scene tape. The holster fits perfectly on my duty belt.

I carry my newly purchased Spyderco para 2 (CTS-20CP) and I am loving it... smooth as butter and will cut through anything. I love the flat grind and 15degrees/side :D We just got approved to get department issued K-bar TDI 4" LE blades on our weak side of the duty belt... that will be cool.

My daughter (LEO) carries either one of her old Benchmade Pinnacles, or one of my Ti Framelocks on duty, and off.

Most of the guys around here in TX carry BMs. I'm not a big BM fan, so I dont know which model.

Ha, CURRENTLY, it's a Spyderco Endura 4 in the non-gun pocket and a Dragonfly2 in the shirt pocket.
I always carry two, one in my non-gunside pocket and the other in either my shirt pocket (if it's small) or my lower gun side BDU pocket or my back pocket.Knives I've carried on duty in no particular order:
Spyderco G-10 Delica (still do on occasion)
Spyderco Para (still do on occasion)
ZT0301 (turned out too heavy)
Spyderco Chinook 1 (too heavy for on duty carry)
Several Protech and Microtech auto's and various Kershaw Assist. Openers until I decided that I didn't want to bet my life on a springs if the S ever HTF
Rick Hinderer XM 18 and one of two Sebbies, until I dropped my XM-18 in the brush and it took me almost an hour to find it. I decided that they were to valuable to carry on duty anymore but I still occasionally carry my XM-18 because I just plain love that knife.
ZT 0200 (only occasionally)
Spyderco Sage 2 (when I feel like flicking a knife)
When I am tracking, I always have my ESEE 4 attached to my Camelbac
Off Duty in order of frequency:
XM-18
Spyderco Endura4
Spyderco Chinook 1
Spyderco Sage 2
Hiking or fishing:
Any of the above AND either a Busse Game Warden or my ESEE 4
Typical knife nut :)

Right now I carry a Severtech.....occasionally rotate between it a Large Regular Sebenza.

Depending on where I go off duty, I usually carry a Busse Straight Handle Badger Attack.....
