Question For Boa Owners

I have five Ken onion Speedsafe's. One Whirlwind , one Blackout , one Avalanche and two Boa's . On the other three knives the screw at the blade pivot is tight and the blade's open fine . On both my Boa's if I tighten the pivot screw to where it is even aproaching slightly snug the blade locks up and will not open with enough snap to lock up.
Has anyone noticed this with their own Boa's and will lubing the pivot help ? I love these knives but it bothers me that I cannot snug these pivot screws to a proper tightness without fouling up the firing speed.
Any ideas will be appreciated .
Regards , Cameron.

I also noticed this with my Whirlwind and the other "speed-safe"'s that I've handled. The key is striking a balance, if the pivot is loose and there's blade play(side to side) because of it, then just tighten the pivot slightly and check the blade play, tighten it just enough so that there's no blade play and then leave it alone. If you go even 1/4 of a turn further it'll lock-up. Lubing it will help a bit, but you'll still have to be careful with striking that balance.

I noticed this when I got my Boa so I merely loosened the pivot screw until it flipped open fast enough to lock the blade in place. It did lose some lateral stability but not enough to be concerned about.
