Question for Canadians -- where to find a Microtech Currahee?

Hi all!

I struggled trying to figure out where to post this since it's a general question and not sale or trade -- so hopefully this is correct (apologies if not)

I'm in Canada and am looking for a fixed-blade Microtech Currahee - but as far as I'm aware, there are no dealers selling these in Canada (maybe I haven't looked hard enough...)

Being a knife-maker (Microtech) who mostly builds automatic knives which aren't legal here, I haven't found anyone who carries a Currahee -- even though it's fixed-blade and would be perfectly legal.

I could order from the US but then have to worry about
customs and duty... Thought I check here first.

Anyone?

Thank you!

Your best bet would be to use a US dealer, since its a fixed blade there shouldn't be any problems with customs. Just make sure its shipped USPS and that will keep the duties and taxes at a minimum, often they don't even charge duties or taxes. I have seen microtech knives being sold at a local knife store (non-auto ones) but they were being sold for ridiculous high prices...

I have purchased many knives from the US with no issues. Fixed blades are pretty much worry free.

As already mentioned, ship US Postal Service, DO NOT use UPS, FEDEX, etc. They will rape you on brokerage fees.

All of the above is sage advice. Follow it and you won't go wrong.
