I was wondering if any of the knife makers out there have 'one of a kind' knives that they have made just for themselves to carry and are unique to the ones that they sale. Pics would be nice ;)

Cool, another Omahan. The knives that become users for me, are typically knives that didnt turn out right, and I didnt want to put them in circulation. The one knife I built just for me was a eight inch combat knife ( see pic ), I built it to what I wanted for me in a fighting knife. Neat thing is that it has won an award for best fighting/survival. -- Charles

Charles,

Sweet lookin' folder ~ and looks as if that one it turned out pretty OK to me !

Please, can you share with us the spec's ? :D

Next time you mess up a folder like that. . .send it my way. I have a industrial grade folder shreader that I just finished putting together. ;)

yes I made one just a few weeks ago, sold it the other day, needed money......cant post pics on this site

The folder is actually a shop master, it has never seen service. The big fixed blade was the one I was talking about; thanks for the compliments. Tom, if you want to send the pic to me, I can put it up for ya -- Charles

Wow what a surprise, a local knifemaker posts a response. Charles, do you sale your knives in any of the omaha area shops/stores, or just over the internet? And also, are all of your blades ATS34? (most of the pics dont say what type of metal is used)

No dont really have a local market for my knives right now, most everything is being sent out the door. I will probably start trying to market the knives at Guns Unlimited, as well as a few other gun/sports shops. Ill be at the Fremont show this weekend, and I should have a few knives out.

My primary steel is ATS, but I do use BG42 on request, and I am thinking about using s30v, as well as Talonite, but have'nt decided fully yet.
