Hey Chris,
I've got a burning question I hope you can answer for me. Okay, here goes:
I recently bought a SOG S1 Commemorative Bowie from a fellow forumite but he didn't have the sheath for it. I went to the SOGKnives.com web site and purchased a leather sheath for the Commemorative Bowie there to the tune of $25.00.
The sheath arrived today but I was confused and disappointed when I opened the package and found this sheath inside...
... which is a sheath for a RECON Bowie (I know because I already have 2 Recons)
Now; Here's what I was expecting to see when I opened the package, according to what is shown on SOG's web site...
So, my question naturally is... WT(BLEEP)??! Did someone at SOG make a mistake or has SOG's extraordinary quality slipped to some psuedo one size fits all standard. I mean, I thought the S1 was SOG's flagship knife and was deserving of it's Viet Nam heritage in it's accessories as well. (Note: The packing slip lists the Item Number as: *L1/L2 and Description as:LEATHER SHEATH FOR SB & TRI.) Is there no means of obtaining the proper sheath, ie; the traditional VN era model w/ sharpening stone pouch?
