A few years back I bought "The Story of Buck Knives," on Amazon as a used book.

Recently I noticed that you had signed this book:

To Joseph's Dad Joe: A great man! Chuck Buck 2-27-00.

I was just wondering if you know or if anyone might know the original owner and if they or some family might want the book? Perhaps it was lost or sold by mistake.

I'd be glad to send it to someone if it's lost and there is a sentimental interest in it.

such a nice thought & offer
would help to know city state the book come from:thumbup:

But Amazon does.

;)

I can't get the city, but it came to me from TN in Feb. of '07. May be of little help, since that bookseller could have purchased it anywhere....maybe got it on Amazon himself.

I was thinking that since the inscription is so unique ("To Joseph's Dad Joe, A Great Man") Chuck (or somebody) might know who these Joes were.

The seller was nice enough to return an e-mail requesting the city, but did not know anything about the book at all.

He's from Nashville.

So, if anybody has any ideas, let me know.

I think Chuck might remember it......you don't write "A Great Man" to just anybody, there's probably a reason......so, it might be somebody he knows.

We shall see.

You might get better results emailing CJ or Joe Houser. I don't recall Mr. Chuck ever coming here.

LOL! I mistakenly thought I'd seen him post here, but that must have been CJ.

I did a search and there is a Chuck Buck, but it's somebody else using that name.

Oh well.......I was also hoping that some other person, maybe even one or the other of the Joes mentioned would be a member here and see it, but no such luck.

Thanks, I'll e-mail.
