Clay do u have a relative in cleveland that works at home depot? There is a guy there that looks exactly like you.


On www.balisong.com one of the technique videos shows a toss and catch opening. Is there any method to the throw or do u just hope for the best? I can do the opening but it usually does not land cleanly open and i cant predict which handle i will catch.
 
As far as throwing and catching goes, it's all a matter of getting a hang of watching the rotations and knowing where each handel is and how long it takes to go through a full rotation. Keep doing it slowly, watching the handels carefully to know when you'll catch the safe handel...it's really just a matter of timing, and doing it over and over again is the only way to get the timing down. Once you can do a single rotation without really thinking about it, it will be easier to do double or even triple rotations, catching the safe handel every time. I know, it's easier said than done, but practice, practice and more practice is the only way to do it. Good Luck!
 
When you start to toss it up make sure your thumb is over your forefinger (opposite sides of the handle), once you master that you can throw it straight with any hold on the handle (within reason).
Also, what masse said was correct (like he would lie to you?? :p ) just watch it do 1 rotation, after a while you'll be able to toss it in the air, it'll spin a bunch of times (too many to count most of the time) and you'll catch it perfectly, all it takes is practice. :D Good luck!!
 
Hmmmm.......... No relatives, but I went there on vacation quite a few years ago.

I spent most of my time hanging out (wink, wink) with a fine looking farm girl. Now ya' got me wondering. How old does this guy look??

This fellow that works at home depot looks about 10 yrs old, has a goatee and a hat, and keeps on twirling multi-tools through his fingers. He also mentioned something about how he really liked his new daddy of the week.;)
 
Crap.......... I got a letter in the mail today with a summons and a picture. I'm gonna fight it though as I don't think he loooks anything like me.
