I picked up an LB7 at a gun show that appears to be unused and unsharped. I has a paculiar marking on the left rear bolster. It has in raise brass on the bolster USG. Any idea what this marking means? I got it for 32.00 with the sheath. It has uncle henry in script on one side of the tang and LB7 usa on the other. It is a 3 pin model.

Get a picture of it if you can. I think I have seen this USG on another LB7 and it is probably a three pin model. Is the tang stamped "Uncle Henry" in script or just Schrade + LB7?

I don't think a picture would show it.I imeant to put in my post it does have uncle henry in script on one side of the tang and LB7 usa on the other side. I suppose since it's an uncle henry it's stainless steel.

Put it on a flatbed scanner?

I don't have this sheath any more, but it had USG on it.

It came to me with an Imperial folding hunter and I shipped off to Texas with this lockback.

I scanned the knife now can someone tell a novice how to attach it.

Go to tinypic.com and upload it there from your computer. When it is uploaded, you copy the string in the box displayed, than paste it in a post here. If you pick "Quote" on my above picture post, you will see what the full image string looks like.

Value? A relatively obscure company, perhaps a person working for them would give a premium for it. More well known organizations sich as the U.S. Border Patrol might fetch more from non-affiliated collectors. Value, I.E. what it might sell for depends on who wants it and how badly, and who wants it worse in the case of auctions.

One I wanted came down to me, and the only other person on the face of the planet that wanted it. We wanted it at the same time. Value? Yeah.
I wanted it worse. That's value.

In good condition, it should be worth whatever a non-sfo is worth at the moment at least. Prior to the Schrade closure, sfo marked knives were generally worth less because collectors wanted mostly regular production examples.

Might find some interest among the home building trade too. Anyone who's ever hung wallboard likely worked with US Gypsum boards, they're one of the biggest sheetrock producers in the world. I likely have some of their dust coating my lungs right now:eek::(
