question for CRK about factory mods

Hello fellow reevaholics,

I have a question.If I got my hands on a Large Regular plain jane Sebenza,would CRK do a satin finish + CGG on the handle & replace the blade with a damascus one(preferably raindrop or spirograph)?

That'd be my dream Seb right there.

I much prefer the handle of the Regular over the 21 or the Classic.

Not very long ago,I acquired a small regular CGG from a really cool guy on these forums.I absolutely love it!I'd just like to get the same thing only larger.I can wait for the damascus blade,but I'd really like to know if they'd do the Regular plain jane handle slabs just like they do the CGG.The graphic I'm wanting is "eyes".

Do you think they'd do that?I've heard/read around that they don't do requests very often.

if i remember right from a phone conversation, the only thing you can do with a preexisting handle is engraving. If you want a CGG you have to buy to order the cgg/custom on a new knife. I don't see why a satin finish wouldn't be possible. Best thing to do would be to call. I'd do it tomorrow or else you'll have to wait till next week

I think its a no go on the damascus blades, as CRK no longer offers them in the Regular profile.

Best bet is to find a Regular with a damascus blade on the forums and switch the blades.Thats what I did.I had a UG with Raindrop blade, but just wanted plain Ti scales.Found one on the exchange, switched the blades and re-sold the UG( with full dis-closure of the blade swap of course).Now I have my plain Ti Regular with Raindrop damascus
