For those of you that have one of these blades, do you experience during heavy chopping that your pinky gets slapped? Man it hurts.:( No matter how I hold or shift my grip, the finger at the back gets "burned" by the inside curve. Other choppers that I have do not seem to do this, and they have similar profiles.
Anyone?

I have the Forager (one size down from Forester) and I have the same problem. I think it must be a flaw in the design? It's not comfortable at all.

I suspect your hands are too small for the knife. From what I understand, Jerry Hossom has some big mitts. I haven't done a whole lot of chopping with mine since it doesn't do a very good job of it, but I didn't have any problem with the handle. For me, it's the best part of the knife.

that cannot be it - I have huge hands - XL gloves barely fit. 6' 4" and 255 pounds - with a huge XXL pumpkin size head, size 14+ shoes.:eek:
Maybe my hands are too big for this one.

When a tool is giving me a sore spot during heavy use I throw on some gloves and that takes care of it.

I suppose it's possible. Not many can say that.
