Hello
I been debating about asking this for a while now.
Its about G-rexed Handle style, Whats it all about ? How did it come about ?
is it purely for looks ? Or is there some practical purpose to it (like using less of more expensive materials, like Wood, Bone, Mammoth and others.
Did Jerry come up with it ?
If you can shine any light on it in general, to satisfy my Curiousity Id greatly appreciate that.
Thanks.

Garth came up with it to protect more delicate handle materials with a G10 buffer between the scales and the blade.

some materials are too fragile to use all by themselves so they are sandwiched onto a slab of g-10 for strength

Some knife makers will use the fancy stuff straight up, but then you can't do any of the hard tasks you'd expect a busse to be able to do.

...and every once in an unlucky while, those smaller pieces are all that are left or salvageable when something goes wrong making a handle from delicate materials. o_O
