Question for Holster Makers

Hey everyone, I am making a western style holster....I am not a cowboy nor have I ever had any expierience with this type of holster. I have made a few field holsters, form fitted holsters and IWB holster. All the ones I have done have a tight fit to them. Does the same apply to the western style holsters...such as a drop loop holster? I have seen a retention strap that hooks onto the hammer. So, how tight of a fit do they get?

I would say, snug not tight. You want to be able to draw with ease and not pulling the holster up with the draw. Thats how I make mine. Just my 2 cents worth. The post ahead of yours called I like this one is mine and can be drawn easy.KT
