First of all cudo Gundy for the swampshack (i know it's been said before, but it cannot be said enough, great site!). Second, I love the pictures Ian sent in, but I have to ask why a dog that HUGE needs a knife at all :D :D :D ! After recently beeing bitten by a "yap" dog (((read schnauzer))) being stupid, I would not even want to tangle with something that large! That litttle beast sunk in and drew blood and tore skin befroe I could say crap, that hurt!!! That mastiff would have taken the whole hand   . Thirdly, the bird of prey, looks like some sort of hawk, I gotta know, is that real  . If it is, MOST impressive! I have seen them work in shows and they are awesome! True warriors of the sky and great hunters.

All for now.......

G’day Cerberus. :D

The dog, Stan is three months old in that picture, you ought to see him now, and he’s over 150 pounds. :D

The Wedge Tailed Eagle is a common sight here in the mountainous country, they truly are a regal bird. They mostly hunt rabbits and small mammals they also have incredibly good eyesight like most birds of prey.

We used to feed them with Kangaroo bones after a night of shooting and they became familiar with us turning up each day in a gully to dump the bones. After several months it was nothing to see nine or ten of those big birds circling and waiting for us to turn up. That particular one had been freshly shot when we turned up one morning, I had the foresight to place it into a bag and freeze it.
Later when near a city I had it stuffed. That was a lot of years ago now.

His demise was partly our fault for feeding them regularly and making it an easy target.
Ian.

That is a large canine! Stuffed, well, I wondered as much but seeing what comes from you guys, I did not want to offend if it was in fact someones trained bird. Great pictures anyway. Thanks for getting back to me. One day I hope to get to the land of Oz. It is honestly the only place i have any desire to go outside the US and Canada. I have always loved the scenery and documentaries that I have seen. I have been communicating via email with one of your bretheren on some new blades I am having made and Taked to them on the last one, they got as much kick of my Texas accent as I did their Aussie accent.

Hello Cerberus,
It seems we have something in common as its been a lifetime ambition of mine to visit the United States. :D Actually I’ve no desire to travel anywhere else either.
My wife and I hope to get over in the next couple of years to look around.

We hope to rent a vehicle and take a look at rural America.
I’m not real flash in the cities. :D

The fella you are dealing with here with the knives wouldn’t be Peter Jenson?? If so they live and operate about forty minutes to the south east of me (thirty if you have a fast car). ;) :D

Take care,
Ian.
