Question for JK along with some fishing pics

John,

A little while back you posted a bunch of pictures of the varied knives you've made over the past years. I was curious if you've ever made any filet knives and, if so, would you post shots of them if you have some?

I could have used a good one this past weekend....

King Salmon from a trip to Milwaukee on Friday night, I landed three (2 over 14 lbs, one over 12)

The larger of my current filet knives has about a 7"ish blade but I think I'd like something a little longer for these bigger fish.

I made this one on a whim about 2 years ago. It`s still going strong in my friend`s tackle box. It has a 5 1/2" blade, of 1/16" thick O1, with an overall length of 9 3/4". It`s got nice flex to the blade. I put green micarta on this one.

Very nice knife but I was a little surprised that you've only made one, especially since you've made multiple Bird & Trout type blades. I may have to chat with you about this at the gathering!

If any of you fisherman out there in JK-land have a particular filet knife that you enjoy, post a pic or a comment as I would be curious to see what other styles may be out there.
