C J Buck, stated a week back that he would ask you to let us know what will be in stores this year for the holidays...this is his quote "We are doing stuff for others this holiday but off the top of my head I won't get them right so will ask Joe to do some research and let you guys know what to look for this year". SO since I want you to stay out of trouble, can you Please follow Mr Buck's request and tell us what and where we will find the Buck goodies this year ?!?!?!?

Joe,

While your at it, please ask him/Sarah about the D2 blade option for Custom Shop. He said he'd look into it and have Sarah follow up. Thanks.

Aw, c'mon guys...CJ's an old man; he can't remember everything he says... :D
hee hee hee ... i would not bet on that.. things take time there...slower pace ya might say..
i mean if you had been there you would have seen how layed back they are!

Sounds like you speak for experiance. Tell us about your D2 Buck.

I have a pair of 118 Personals. One with stag and one with phenolic. My Pa has a phenolic as well. We have been using them this fall for "field dressing" feathered critters ;) No rust, and no sharpening thus far. I hope to give mine a better workout this fall on deer, but so far no luck! I really like the 118 as well, it saddens me that its a discontinued model! It has a weird but really usable blade shape.

I would love to see D2 in a 110! ;)

I was guessing that it was the 118. Is that the only D2 Buck so far. It’s the only one I've seen. And yes it is a nifty little knife.

With any luck we'll see D2 offered in the CS soon.

As a side note...the talking heads on Monday night are almost unbearable. The little baldheaded Howard Cosell want'a'be is a real hemorrhoid :grumpy:

Its the only D2 model that I know of, but Joe would know better!

It wouldnt surprise me if there were a few other D2 knives laying around somwwhere ;)

SOOO,Any chance of a d2 folding hunter?I think ity would set the knife world on fire,at least for buck fans.,LOL

I would also like to see a 1095 blade option ,I;'ve heard lots of people say they can't offer it as is a carbon steel, but i don't buy that reasoning,I have carbon steel blades from the 20's and 30's the only thing wrong with them is a thick black patina and they are worn down to nothing.lol

Yes, I am back now.
I will get with our sales/marketing and see what they have for what remains of this year.
Stay tuned....

Well I did get a little news. We are planning on introducing some stuff, but, for obvious reasons, I'm not at liberty to divulge them until they are brought out officially. We dont want to tip our hand to our competitors. :)
Its a delicate issue, we want to keep Forumites informed, but not our competition.
Hopefully they will have something for me to share soon.

stay tuned ?!?
dont want to tip off competers ?!?!?
wow !!! :D
gee wizz - this is worse then waiting for Christmas as a kid!:(

Joe,thats cool,I'll be looking for a 1095 110 and a d2 110,maybe some custom shop droppoints.lol,you know ,all the good stuff!
