Josh, the pictures in the post below came from another thread (or maybe it was a mini-series, not sure which? ;) ). Question: was the regular Sebenza shown in those pictures sent back to CRK to have double lugs installed, or did it come that way from CRK? Thanks!

I happen have that thread bookmarked, since he was good enough to list prices. It's the very last line of http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showpost.php?p=8845279&postcount=8

(emphasis added)
Unfortunatly I'm not sure how many "before" pictures I have and at what quality. Will surely try though.

Breakdown of work done:

(I sent in three knives, two Regulars and one Insigno)

Prices are what I have written down, when I paid today it came out to about $2.50 over the actual costs. I'll update when I get the invoice.

Sebenza #1
Clip + Screw: $15
Pivot bushing + washers: $7.50 ($6 bushing, $0.75 washers)

Sebenza #2
Blasted pin set: $8.50 x 3 = $25.50
Clip + Screw: $15
Pivot + washers: $7.50
Re-blast scales: $27.50
Gold double lug: $35
Gold backspacer: $7

The Insigno had an issue with a blasted pin set that messed something up. No cost issues there.

My total was $137.50 + shipping brought it to ~$160'ish. I needed one Sebenza (#1) just tuned and a new clip, threw the washers in because what-the-heck, it's already in Boise. Sebenza #2 I bought used which was just a wreak. Scales were scratched, looked like they had been refinished at some point (poorly) the blade needed to be sharpened, and the lockup just felt "off." Still solid, but locking open gave a hollow "ping" instead of a "thunk" that is normally found. I gave this one the works and added the lug work because I wanted to see how the double lugs suit me.

Sent back to CRK to have the double lugs. I also wanted the scales blasted, but the two are mutually inclusive as they have to reblast the scales anyway due to the slight modification of the lockbar for the double lug.

Looking at it the double lug would fit without the slight rounding, but I don't think it would as easy to open without it, hence the modification.

I do have a rare one that I sent back for double lugs, and CRK forgot to grind the indentation on the lockbar. Still opens and closes just fine with either hand, but I like the uniqueness of it without it.

Professor.

Thanks, that's what I was noticing. Had the same work done on my small regular BG-42 with the same overall results.
