Off topic note: I find that a Tuf Cloth (Sentry Solutions) not only works well to protect blades but brings up the colors on micarta without that nastry oily feel.

Sorry for the late respons. I thought it was snakeskin, but I'm not sure . . . I've been told by the previous owner that it's snakeskin . . . :o

I'm not he, but I can tell you that those are oiled Tigerstripe.

They look like they are oiled. But they aren't. Never did oil on the handles.

Maybe instead of using the tan and black micarta (in the link), they used red and black instead?

Yeah could be:D But is it also possible that I've seen the tiger stripes with the tan and black on a SFNO? And what does the snakeskin handles look on the SFNO?

It looks like it's oiled, but it isn't  . I never oil my handles.

magnum tiger stripe.

snake skin is something like 4 colors, white, green, red and dark (maybe black). i definitely know it has white, red, and a darker color. the scales here only have red and black.

scratch that, i just looked at my hogsjtacle's handles when wet, and this would appear to be magnum snakeskin....

when looking at my old ad pics, the ad (when dry) has white in it....

If all you HOGs say it is tigerstripes then I'll believe you guys . . . ;) :D
