Kershaw why are all of your recent folders sharpened at such obtuse angles? I recently bought a ZDP Leek and a s30v Spec Bump and I had to reprofile both of them to get them to a reasonable cutting angle.

I am familiar with the ZDP issues, but my Spec Bump has a great edge on it! Whether the edge bevel is obtuse or not is unclear to me, but I know it cuts everything like a champ! :) I went fishing in the Gulf this weekend and my Spec Bump made short work of the finger mullets we cut up for bait/ as well as cutting up some catfish for shark bait! I cut everything on a wooden cutting board and the knife is still VERY Sharp!

The Bump was fairly sharp it would not shave hair though althought this isn't a bad thing. The angle was somrthing like 30 degree per side or 60 degree inclusive. Just not good geometry for my kind of needs.

Kershaw never had a rep here. Kershaw had a dedicated employee who is also a knife knut who posted here, and was willing to get into discussions about Kershaw knives. It got to the point where people assumed he was a customer service rep and overwhelmed him with questions and demands, so he's taking a break from all that.
