You live in my neck of the woods, how do you store your moisture sesitive woods, handle materials, etc. This is in regard to my recent post on whether kiln dried hardwood scrap from cabinet mills in this region is ready to use as is or since we usually need diving gear when we go outside down here is additional drying needed?-Guy T.

Get yourself a 20mil ammo can but make sure the rubber seal in the lid is still good.If it's dried out, wipe it down with some Armoural or vaseline to mosten it up. I even keep my 600 grit greaseless buffing compund in an ammo can. They say it has a shelf life of 6 months, I've had my current stock for almost two years and no problems yet. Also, for more sensitive things like ivory and stag and such, I keep it in the house wrapped up real good in news paper. Never had any shrinkage problems that I'm aware of. Hope the ammo can idea helps you out! Take care! Michael
