Hi Lynn,

First off, I must admit that I have never personally seen or handled one of your knives so forgive me if my question is way off...
I have read a lot of great things about your knives but (again, from photos) I do have one concern...the handles look too (hmmm, how can I describe it...) "slender" or "shallow"...I was wondering how others feel about the ergonomics (especially those with big hands) and if you would consider putting on bigger handles...I have enclosed scans of my favourite knives along with possible modifications:

I now have 2 of Lynns knives, the Sniper and the Marksman. I just recieved the Marksman and will be posting a review of it in the next few days. You HAVE to hold one of his knives to appreciate them!
As far as handle size and feel, let me say that I have BIG hands! The Sniper is a neck knife and is very compact. The way the handle is shaped with the rounded butt,it fits nicely in my hand. What I like most about the Sniper is that it has a very fuctional blade and does not "print" much when carried in the neck sheath under a T-shirt. Lynn has put much thought into the handle of this knife!
The Marksman has a full size handle that fills my my hand very well. The finger notch is just the right size and indexes the knife quickly in the hand. The entire handle is "sculpted" and has no flat areas on it. After they check the incredible point on the knife, every that handles it, comments on how comfortable the handle is!
Lynn is a great person to do business with and I would encourage you to talk to him personally about his knives. I would like to hear your thoughts on them after you handle one!

RL,
I appreciate your interest in my knives. I can also understand your concern about handle comfort. That is a very important issue. My best reccomdation I can give you is to do a search for my name on the various forums here for reviews of my knives. Also you may want to check out the customer reviews on my website ( www.griffithknives.com ). You may also want to check out my forums ( www.griffithknives.com/board). I think you will find the answer you are looking for, in regards to my handles. As for me making a knife to your custom specs, that is an option, at least for now. I am getting progressively more busy. As business flows in, I will have less and less time for custom modifications. On standard models, you may return (after calling for authorization) them within 5 days (unused)for a full refund less shipping, if you do not feel they will satisfy your needs. I believe this makes the purchase of one of my knives, risk free. If you have any more questions please feel free to call me at 918-322-5416.

Thanks again,

When I fist decided to go look at Lynn's knives, it was because of the pictures, and what I had read. When I got to his shop, he had a few knives out to look at. My first thought when I looked at the Patrolman was, "uh-oh, that handle is way to small for me". Picking it up changed my mind in about 2 seconds. The grip is incredible. The handle could better be described as compact. I have larger than average hands, and it has one of the best handles I have used. All the security I could ask for. Go to his web site. Look for the Patrolman, it should have a link to my review of it. You really gotta check one out. I think you will be incredibly impressed, both with the knives and the man behind them. Put one in your hand and all worries of handle size will dissappear.

When I first got my Patrolman I thought the handle was way too small, but after holding it for a bit it's perfect. Really good grip and nicely contoured.

Hi All,

Thanks for your replies...I guess I will have to try one for myself eventually

At least it's nice to know that I have the "return" and "make to order options".
