I am hoping you can shed some light on a knife I have obtained. I have an Al Mar fixed blade SERE. The blade measures 7" from hilt to tip. It has brown and black, laminate looking scales that I am assuming are micarta. The back of the blade is streight, not saw bladed. There is an emblem and inscription on the blade. The emblem has a skull pierced by a knife. The inscription reads SOAR XIV. The knife is in pristine condition without a single scratch or blemish. It is in a black cordura sheath with a stone pocket. The stone in the pocket appears to never have been used either. No box however.
I have made two attempts to contact the Al Mar company by email but have not received a reply either time. I am hoping you may have information on it. Any of the below questions you could answer would be greatly appreciated.
What year was the knife made?
What model SERE is this?
What does the inscription refer to?
Was it a limited edition?
Approximate value?
Thank you for any information you can provide!
