I am curious about something. I have seen that there are many people here who own more than one Sebenza(lucky), and I was wondering if out of the many or few that you own if you have a favorite. You know that special "one" that cries to be carried daily and used often.
I only have the one(for now) and I can feel the pull to carry every day. I can just imagine the struggle if there were two or, dare I say it, three little benz's in my humble collection.
So let's hear it....
TIA

That is a tough question, I now have a 1999 Umfaan, fortunate I am, and carry that in the pocket till I make something for it, but of the three sizes, they all really work so well, it depends on your everyday needs, the Umfaan is so sheeple friendly and even the small doesn't make too many eyebrows go up, but to limit to only one, can't do it.

If someone said that I had to give up two and which one would I keep? I'd go for the Large, just because.

My large plain with double thumbstud definitely gets the most carry time, a minimum of 50 hours a week (10 a day during work) and often more. Small plain gets duty most evenings, with the plain Umfaan in my wallet pocket 3 or 4 days a week. All three are engraved.

My large decorated gets shown off on the weekends. I just received a decorated Umfaan that will no doubt be a dress carry, as it goes well with my wife’s blue circles Umfaan.

The LDC’s and old profile models are pretty much decoration.

I agree with St. James! My dual-stud plain get most of the carry time. I can't bear to carry my decorated or tanto. My small just does not fit my hand as well as the large.

So you guys who carry your sebenzas, are't you ever worried about dropping it or losing it or scratching it?

I have the zulu trio (Unfaam, small & large Sebenzas).
All have plain scales. However, each has my name engraved in the same font and in proportion for the scale's size.
I love all three, and show them off regularly.
The Umfaan is carried most as I wear a business suit daily. The small Sebenza is usually with me when I'm in jeans.
I don't worry about scratches. The finish has proven very durable.
What scratches have occurred have been removed when cleaning by the use of Soft Scrub.

Humpty,
Not worried a bit about carrying mine, if I had a decorated one, that would be different, I guess that's why I haven't bought one. The plain ones seem to beg to cut something!

The Umfaan I have, 1999 version, is nice enough for a dressy type folder, I only pray that the 2000 version won't cause me to sink lower and buy another! I'm sure it's going to be a killer of a design for the new Millenium!
