Back in the day I remember Militec and Filtz being the lube/corrosion answers almost all the time. Filtz seems to show up some now, but not so much Militec. Is there a technology revolution I missed?

For perspective, I am still learning to text.

Militec-1 doesn't stand out in testing. For example it ranked in the lowest performing group in https://dayattherange.com/?page_id=3667

Indeed, but it is also marketed as a preservative, "Anti-Tarnish Formula. Last up to 6 months!" and "Corrosion Protection."

Yeah. Just don't wash it off. Keep rubbing until there's no more black coming off the metal. The coating left over is what they mean.
