Will Canada still have incand. light bulbs for the foreseeable future? I've got a supply at hand, but if I run out, the border is not far away. Just wondering...

I don't think you need to worry. Last I heard, the legislation regarding incan lightbulbs here in the states (or more specifically, the funding needed to enforce it,) got axed. Those hot, inefficient energy leeches should be available for some time to come :)

AFAIK, only in the US. That's why I was asking about Canada.

Ahhh, I see. I haven't heard anything about banning incandescent bulbs and thats something I would have heard about as an industrial worker, so I don't see any problem with you shipping them here.

I heard someone in Germany sold old bulbs as "warming devices", even though selling wasn't really that allowed anymore. :)
People here are hoarding them like for end of days. I've never seen much difference.

I don't think it is a "ban" per se. Retailers will simply stop stocking them, replacing them with newer bulbs. That being said, I haven't seen any lack of incandescent bulbs where I've been shopping.

Retailers can't stock something when manufacturing of 100W bulbs stopped on December 31, 2011.

Just go and get some Phillips LED 100W-equivalent bulbs! They'll last 20 years!

... except they cost friggin' $60-each!
