Question for owners of GEC 78 American Jack

This is a question for people who own both a Northfield and a Tidioute model 78.

I have a Northfield and it is not a pinchable blade for me. The swedge doesn't give me any place to get a good grip.

It the Tidioute the same? Is that blade pinchable for opening the blade?

I can pinch my only Tidioute, ironwood, pretty easily. I cannot pinch open my NF.

I would agree that the Tidioute is more pinchable and even the nail nick provides more leverage than the long pull.
