Hello to all. I am trying to find a small radio specifically for FM broadcasts in arenas. I would prefer it to be small, but it can be as large as necessary. Earbuds are fine. I used a walkman for the purpose, but it did not pick up the weak signals well enough. So, any radios known for good FM reception and seperation, small enough to put in a bag, and less than a hundred bucks? Ideally running on AA or possibly D. Thanks for your replys, and any real world experience would be most helpful.

Sangean makes some really great radios, with great reception. I highly reccommend them. Mine has Am/Fm/TV/WB, a lock for the buttons, a small external speaker, and runs on two AA's for a long time. If you don't mind AAA batteries, I have a Sony srf-m37v that runs on one AAA. It has become a hit at the building my wife works in because it receives in the building so well.
Check C.Crane Co. for the Sangeans.
Good luck!
