Question for Sal: Discontinued Knives

I was wondering which Spyderco knives from the past you reluctantly discontinued due to poor sales but really liked? Some knives just don't get the chance they deserve because its a crowded market out there and many of your knives are just too radical/innovative for most consumers. They're all your "babies" and I'm sure you're proud of all of them (or you wouldn't have released them in the first place) but there must be some that you thought should have sold better. Or do you have limited production runs in mind with certain models? And are there any discontinued models you'd still carry and use?

Ask Mr. Glesser about the Calpso jr. He admited in a previous thread that he still carries the little one while traveling

HI Ian. There were quite a few models that have ben disco'd due to poor sales over the years. The Calypso jr was just one. There are also times when the dealers just choose not to carry a model which will ultimately kill the model, unless we choose to carry it for a while anyway. Keep in mind that it is difficult and expensive to carry inventory on a model that is not selling.

sal.
