Since the Millie is the one Spydie I can't seem to life without, and it looks like the Millie Jr is still a long way off. I've been thinking a lot over the last few months about a FB Millie. If I could find a custom maker the build one for me (I'm thinking S90v)what would Spyderco's position be?

I love Spyderco's product and even having gotten into customs there will always be Spydies I own (and more I'd like to) and would not want to do anything to upset Sal. It's just that I really love the Millie's handle shape, blade shape, grind etc and having a FB that pretty much duplicates an open Millie would be awesome:D

I would not follow thru on this if Sal said "NO", but just in case there might be a 'yes' in there somewhere I had to ask;) ;) ;)

I can't speak for Sal on this, but you might want to wait and see the new Temperance FB before springing for a custom.

Looks feally nice:)

But I would still prefer the really thin G-10 of a FB Millie:D

ust would hate to make Sal mad cause I want to meet him someday:rolleyes:

Hi Ishay. Customs are cool. I finally got my Pat Crawford made Kelly Worden "Wortac" with hole and serrations. We wouldn't have a problem with a custom maker using the pattern for a FB (credit is always nice). You wouldn't need a hole in the blade as a FB. If the maker chose to use a round hole, he would probnably want to contact Spyderco as to what to do about our trademarks.
