Question for Sal re Kitchen Knives

Sal, I've been "lurking" on both the bladeforum and the Spyderco forum sites since December.

I recently bought a bunch of the Spyderco kitchen knives and want to know if they're dishwasher safe. I read a post a while back about not putting the folders in the dishwasher, but what about the kitchen knives?

Hi Antony. Welcome to the Spyderco forum and thanx for the kind words.

The Spyderco kitchen knives should be ok in a dishwasher although most people don't like to put them in a dishwasher. Problems can arise from; 1) water being too hot for the plastic handle, or the edges banging into each or other metal or plates caused by dishwasher action. edges don't like to be banged against other metal or dishes.
