Question for Sal

I notice that the new Blade mag has cover pic and article on Grant Hawk's DOG knife. In the article he expressed concerns about using Gerbers lock. Just wondering if he had the same concern about the blade hole. Was Spyderco approached about it as many of the more honorable makers have done?

Lifter - I don't know, have to check with Peter. However, our "hole" patent is up this year and our Trademarked claim now is only for the "round hole".

Also keep in mind that Blackie Collins found a "loophole" in our patent several years ago and "Spread the word". A number of companies decided to use a hole "Blackie's way to avoid royalties. That is why we made up the Honor ad.
