Hi,
I was on the Spyderco Website today. I noticed that the wayne goddard lightwieght was no longer listed under custom collaborations, I was panic stricken fearing that in may have been discontinued

. Please shed some light on this for me Mr Glesser. I, along with many other forumites, think that the goddard lightweight is one of the finest knives around and it would be a shame to discontinue such a fine piece. Thank you in advance.

I think that I heard that Spyderco has discontinued the C16 Goddard Lightweight. Better get some while you can.

The Centofante models are not listed anymore either. Does this mean that they are discontinued as well?

I think that the website is still in an aearly stage of development. Things appear and disappear with some frequency. I wouldn't draw any conclusions from it in regards to the Goddard or Centofane.

Hi Poniard. Yes, sad but true. We have to discontinue models to make way for new ones. They will be available on the discontinued section of our site util inventory is gone.

Thanks a lot Mr. Glesser for shedding some light on this topic for me. Though I am unhappy about the discontinuation of, in my opinion, the best lightwieght variation it gives me an excuse to by a new one (Military)since it seems that my Goddard has developed blade play (up, and down). I had it boxed up and ready to mail in when I found out that they were being discontinued. If you think that the play could be remedied I would send it in, but it would be a shame to lose this knife, even if it has a little play. Anyhow thank you for your response Sal and keep up the good work.

Poniard.

Hi Poniard. I would sugest sending it in. Warantee & repair will take a look at it. We usually try to take pretty good care of our customers.
