Question for Sal.

I just came back from a gunshow where I knew I was gonna pick up a Spyderco. I finally found a new Calypso jr plain edge micarta handle. LOVE IT! However it came in a regular white box with a sticker on it that says "C52BMP Spyderco INC. EXPERIMENT PLN MICARTA 11/97". I wanted to know more about it....is it a pre-production of sorts? Is there any value?

Hi NIB. welcome and thanx.

We tested this knife on the first run, thus the experimental tag. We then did a production run of micarta pieces. The micarta pieces are no longer n production.
