Hi Sal
I sent you an email Sunday night about an idea I've been developing with the folding knives I make. After looking back I realized I forgot to complete the subject line and it only says "knife" which is pretty stupid, its actually about an idea to make normal one handed knives more multi purpose. I realize you probably get a ton of email and may not have had time to get to it yet, or sorted it out as something unimportant because of the subject line.
If you could take a quick look and get back to me so that I can figure out what I want to do next, I would appreciate it.
Thanks alot

Well I'm surprised. I'd have never thought that a knifemaker going to a production company with an idea they've built, tested, and gotten a lot of positive feedback on would get completely blown off.
Turned down yeah, that will happen. But not blown off completely

Hi Matt. I've got quite a bit of mail stacked up. I try to get to all of it, but I do have the "day job" of running a business.

Some of it is more than a month old simply because I've been travelling a great deal. We appreciate your interest to share, but for you to consider your self "blown off" 5 days after writing to the President of a company, and not getting a reply, might be expecting a little bit too much?

If you really have an idea that you wish to share, contact Peter Jhones at Spyderco. Handle the disclosure agreements (which must be done) with him. That's his "day job".

I wasn't expecting anything official but it would have been nice to at least know you got the email or saw this thread within a weeks time. You did respond to other threads here.
I don't want to be a pain in the ass, and I understand you have alot of other responsibilities. I am interested in trying to work something out, if I can find Peter's contact information I will definitely get in touch with him.

Thanks alot
Matt

Sorry Matt.

Didn't mean to be short. Travel often has me gone for 2-3 weeks at a time. If I'm overseas, there is really no time for emails and when I return, there is usually a pile of important stuff demanding attention.

Anything regrding submission would be faster to go through Peter.

Not a problem Sal
I sent Peter an email with all the details yesterday. I can only imagine the amount of email and stuff you get, I don't want to be a pain. I just figure if I have this idea I shouldn't sit on it for a month without even knowing if the email made it through or if your even willing to look at that kind of stuff. Now that you've got me headed in the right direction I'll give you all the time you need.
Thanks again
Matt
