Was wondering what is your favorite model say in a 3" - 6". And why. Thinking about a new purchase and was wanting some opinions. Have a mini-tusker and use it almost daily and like it a lot. Just looking for something else to try.

My favorite EDC is the standard PSK, micro Tusker and recently the PSN. These are in the 2 1/2" blade range. I also carry at times the WTK or Mini Tusker. I like 8" overall with a 3 3/4" blade, 3 1/2" cutting edge. Both sizes fit in the side tool pocket of my Dickies or Carhartt pants.
My Big Boar Tusker rules when I hit the timber. My new combo will be the Gosshawk and the 5" choiless Tusker.
The more I play around with the Gosshawk, the more I like it.

I have a PSK and a PSK Jr. in A2. Both are nice but I really like the PSK Jr. with red G10 scales.

I have one of Scotts OLD models, and the following.

PSK with scales (originally a "scale-less" model), a bird and trout style handled PSN, a PSK Xtreme, Kephart and mini Kephart. Out of all of them, I have used the PSK the most, and have started using the PSN a lot. I really like the size of the mini Kephart though. The Kephart and PSK Xtreme are about the same size.

However, I prefer my PSK. I am getting a micro Kephart from Scott in December, and am excited to see how he designs that. His knives really shine when it comes to the big bruisers, but those little neck knives are well designed too.

For me, the orginal PSK is my most used blade (out of all my blades, not just my Gossman knives). The PSKsr, or mini Tusker would be next, followed by the WTK and the Kephart. The Kephart is my favorite blade of them all, but the PSK size lends itself so well to smaller tasks, I use it all the time. Need to get a PSKX. And a Tusker.

I have any number of Neckers, and I like my Becker a lot, love my Izula, but the PSK out shines them (IMHO). Been using mine for well over two years now, and I have beaten the heck out of it, and you can't really tell, and it still keeps an edge great.

I have been having a itch to possibly get one of Scotts big blades. Just do not know much about them.

What are the differences between the Tusker, Buffalo, and PSKX?

CD, the Buffalo knife and Tusker are similar in design except for the blade shape is different at the end near the point. The Tusker drops back further then the Buffalo knife. The Tusker has a 1" choil, no choil on the BK. Both are 13" overall, 3/16" by 1 1/2" wide with an 8" blade. The Big Boar Tusker is the biggest of the two being 1/4" thick by 1 3/4" wide.
The PSKX is an overbuilt PSK knife, 10" overall with a 5" blade, 5/32" thick by 1 1/4" wide. I've done these up to a 1/4" thick.
