Question for Seal Pup Elite Ti Users

Hi Fellas,
This is my first post,and I wanted to say hey before asking a question.

Last year I bought the SOG Sealpup elite with the Ti finish. I've been using it around the yard and for camping as well. My question is how does the knive and the Ti finish hold up to salt water and sand? :confused:

I think that's what the knive was designed for ,but I've been chicken to take it out on my boat and beach my boat and camp on the beach with it and really put it through some hard use. I'll also go swimming and clamming with it. Will the finish stand up to the harsh saltwater enviorment???? Can I expect any corrosion problems with it ?

G’day mate.

Let it be known I am not a knife expert or anything like that, just posting my opinion as a fellow SPE user.

I got mine a few weeks ago and have taken it camping pretty much on the beach, used it, been swimming with it attached and done many things.

I gotta say not being a pro and not having the knife for a very long time I cant tell you 100% how it will survive but I reckon that the knife is built for that sort of stuff and I spent a number of ours (including asking on this forum) making sure it would do the job. And I'm more then happy to say that it dose.

I just think you got to do the norm. Clean and look after your gear. Wash the knife after contact with salt water if you can and just look after it, simple. But hey things don’t stay in mind condition for ever. You can always buy another one just to look at.

Just my pointless opinion.

As far as I know that is pretty much exactly what it was designed for. Looks like a good useful size knife!
