Is there any chance of the Military being offered in a tip-up clip option?

I am so sorely tempted by this model (in all it's configurations) but the carry options have proved a deal-breaker for me thusfar....

All input/ commentary welcome!

Thanks,

Ben

When the military 2 comes out it should be set up with both positions. When exactly that happens is anyone's guess.

I agree with rycen about the millitary 2....you could also have a knife pimper drill and tap it for tip up carry.

just curious, have you tried a knife with this long of a handle in both tip down and tip up? MOST people end up preferring tip down for the Military sized knives, and it has certainly converted plenty of tip up only guys. However, there still are the select few who don't convert and prefer it to be tip up.

Tip up or tip down, I can deploy a blade just as fast. I really don't mind either and certainly wouldn't let it hold me back from a great knife such as the military.

Give it a try. I only carry tip up except for the Military.
Its to good a knife to let that be a deal breaker, and I prefer the large Military tip down.

I was a tip up guys. But I realized that tip down is more practical for large knives.

Speaking of the Military, I carried my Millie today.

I saw in some video sometime Sal saying all spyderco's liner locks were to down for safety...

Thanks all for the input - I have tried tip-down carry & I hate it hence the thread. Don't get me wrong I can make it work but I just don't like it but I hadn't factored in the safety aspect.

Similarly, thanks for posting all the positive commentary on the Military. You know I'm going to have to try it ;)

Cheers all,

Ben

If somebody prefers tip-down or tip-up doesn't really matter when you are talking about the military. I've tried it and it is silly and as uncomfortable as it can get. With a handle that large you have to reposition your grip to open the blade every single time.

You can carry the resilience tip-up...
