How much would you pay for this:
Set "1 of 1000": Spydie worker, damascus blade, plus Spydie worker with what appears to be kraton inserts and blackened blade, with original acrylic stand for both knives. (Only have seen a fuzzy picture of it, could be other inserts or both blades damascus). How much were they originally going for, or were they presented? How old is this set? I have never seen this before, and am a bit clueless (as usual

Thanks in advance for all answers.

It sounds like what you are asking about is the "Evolution set". It had an original 2 screw worker and a kraton handled damascus blade worker in it. I believe they were out in the mid 80's (i'm sure someone will come up with date). You are correct that they are numbered 1 of 1000. I have seen these sets go for a steal of $250 in good condition and seen them go for $500 in pristine condition. I think it depends on the number of the set and condition. Just my 2 cents worth.

Judge,

The Evolution Edition was made to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the original 1982 Worker. All sets are numbered and the cost went close to $500 when released.
Present price is hard to guess since most unique versions of the Worker are getting scarce now that the Worker is discontinued.

Supply me your email address and I can send you a scan of the Evolution catalog listing.
